CCNP Expiration and grace period

Unanswered Question

Hello,

I am a Cisco employee and my cutomers CCNP is due to expire on 7/27 and he is unable to take the recertification test by this deadline.  I was reading on the Cisco Recertification site and it indicated for a CCIE that you can have up to 1 year after the expiration (although Suspended) to take the recertification exams without starting over.

Does this apply to CCNP (customer does not have CCIE) and is there such a grace period.

What is the minimum he can do to keep this active past the recerticifation deadline?

Thanks!

Michelle

Michelle,

There is no grace period for other certifications. They would need to pass a 642 professional level exam or a CCIE/CCDE written exam prior to 7/27 to recertify. On 7/27, the certification will be expired. After this, they would need to retake all required exams to recertify.

Hope this helps.
