UC500 license problem

Hi ,

I tried to integrate CUCM 7 with CUE modul in UC500. When I wanted to add JTAPI parameters I faced with license problem:

UC500-CUE(config-jtapi)# ccm-manager address x.x.x.x
Operation not allowed with current installed license

How to find out what kind of license I have in UC500 ???

Is it possible to integrate CUCM witn UC500 CUE ??? CUE uses JTAPI to communicate with CUCM but I suppose that I have SIP license.

Thanks....

Hello, already replied in your other post. Anyway:

Which version of CUE are you configuring?. You can use the command show software licenses in CUE prior to version 7 to check the application mode (CUCM or CME). If it displays CME, then you're using an incorrect license file.

If you ordered a new network module with Cisco Unity Express 7.1 or later included, it is shipped with the Cisco Unity Express image and the corresponding licenses preinstalled for the packages and features that you specified. The call-agent is no longer specified using licenses and can be configured either as part of post-install process or during bootup.

You can try this:

Configuring the Call-Agent:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/rel7_1/Licensing/Using_CSL.html#wp1091982

Hope it helps, please rate if it does.

Kind regards,

- Adrian.

CUE is ver. 7.0.3 !!!  Previously it was ver. 3.0 but yesterday I upgrade it to 7.0.

This is the output of the show software licenses command:

UC500-CUE# show software licenses
Installed license files:
- voicemail_lic.sig : 50 MAILBOX LICENSE

Core:
- Application mode: CCME                 << ===============
- Total usable system ports: 6

....

This means that I am using wrong license...  Can I activate any other license to connect CUE with CUCM ???

This is UC500 in LAB enviroment so I can reinstall it or downgrade it or ... whatever. The goal is to connect it with CUCM if possible .

Regards

Hello,

If your Application mode says CCME then you can't connect it to CallManager. You must download license for CallManager (those with these format SCUE-LIC-XXCCM=).
