NSS3400-G5 Disk failed..

Hi Sir,

I have a Cisco Storage device (NSS3400-G5). once I configure the device, the error LED is on for disk 1 (solid red).

Is this meaning the disk is failed and I have to change it. pls clearify.

Please reference page 17 of the NSS3XX Admin Guide.  The solid RED HD LED indicates there is a read/write error on that particular HD.  This may indicate a hard drive failure.  You could remove that HD and place back into the NSS into another HD bay and run the setup again to see if the problems remains with that hard drive or not.  If you purchased this HD with the NSS you would need to contact the Small Business Support Center for assistance in getting this hard drive replaced.  If you purchased the chassis with no hard drives then you would need to contact your hard drive reseller for replacement assistance.
