IPSEC throughput of 1841 & 2811

Hi,

I really need to know if anyone have tested the 1841 & 2811 routers for IPSEC VPN performance.

Some other real world tests shows much lower numbers.

I've seen documents from cisco stating...

45Mbit/s for 1841

95Mbit/s for 1841 with AIM

55Mbit for 2811

130Mbit/s for 2811 with AIM

Hi Marcus,

The positioning of the Cisco Routers are as follows

1841-1xT1/E1/xDSL,
2801-1xT1/E1/xDSL,

2811-2xT1/E1/xDSL,

2821-4xT1/E1/xDSL,

2851-6xT1/E1/xDSL,

3825 ½xT3/E3,

3845-1xT3/E3.

My impression of the above is that the routers are designed to run with full feature sets at these levels.

The speed that you had listed are raw throughput speeds, so pending on features you are are running on the router, it may be significantly lower.
