We need to replace our Catalyst 3750-48TS switches with 1GB switchports switch. We want to know if there is a lot of difference in terms of capability between Cisco Catalyst 3750G-48TS vs. Catalyst 3560G-48PS-E?
Thanks for your comments!

Hi Maria,
The 3750-G backplane capacity is 32Gig versus the 3750-E is 64Gig. Also the 3750-G comes with 1Gig uplinks while the 3750-E comes with 10Gig uplinks.

The only difference between 3750 and a 3560 is the stacking capability. So it will be up to the way you design your network will you determine if you should go down the path of 3560 or 3750. In our case, if a cabinet will have two or more switches, then a stack capability is the way to go.
Do you need Layer2/3 or Layer 2 is sufficient?
