HSRP/VPC issues

Unanswered Question
Jul 26th, 2010

Here  is the issue that i am running into:

I have 2 Nexus 7010's that are my core switches and they are using HSRP between the two of them.  I also have two cisco 5010's that are connected to the 7010's using VPC's.  The issue is that when those VPC's were created between the 7010 and the 5010 the HSRP between the two 7010's would go inactive.

Has anyone seen this issue or has seen any issues using HSPR and VPC's.  Any help is always greatly appreciated.

The diagram below is somewhat similar to the layout we currently have.

Thanks,

John

Hi,

What version are you running on Nexus 7000?

Also, can you please send me show run, show vpc, show int trunk, show hsrp from both nexus 7000?

Make sure spanning tree root is Nexus 7000
