Hi can can anyone tell me if Cisco Emergency Responder is supported in a VM enviroment?

No, 8.0 is the latest one and this are the supported platforms.

It depends on the definition of "support" and the CER version.
On UC (Unified Communication) 8.x, VMWare is supported. However, depending on individual products, it may or may not be stated (clearly) in release notes or compatiblility guides.
On pre-8.x version, you may install CER on VMWare. It will work with some tuning. But it's not supported by Cisco TAC.
