hello world,

i'm trying to limit bandwitdh with a Catalyst 2960

as to users from a port are limited for upload and dowload speed 80 Mbps

i tried with policy-map attached to a port but i don't understand how to fix the burst size ::

does any one could help me to understand !!!

Hi,

Burst size really depends on your traffic pattern and it is hard to give you a specific value.

If you are attaching a policy-map to a port it only does input policing, cannot do egress policing.

try this command under the port that you are testing and see if that helps "srr-queue bandwidth limit 80".

thanks for your interest,

but i want to limit UPLOAD AND DOWNLOAD as to have a symetric bandwidth ...

so INGRESS and EGRESS bandwidth limiting

does it's so hard to do with Cisco Products ???
