Creating a Route Pattern

I am having a problem as our Call Manager (5.1.3) uses an old version of the UK Dial plan that does not include new local rate 0843 numbers.

I have been told I can configure a route pattern to route calls out onto the PSTN.

We have an MGCP voice gateway with ISDN PRI.

Looking at the route patterns (which were setup by our service provider) we have setup and they are all ‘9.@’.

e.g.

Pattern: 9.@

Route Partition: National-Rate-Access

Number Plan: GBNP

Route Filter: National Rate Access

I have tried adding 9.@0843XXXXXXX

When I use the Dialled Number Analyser it still says:

‘Match Result = BlockThisPattern’

Where as when I enter an 0845 number for example:

‘Match Result = RouteThisPattern’

Many thanks in advance.

Shouldn't it be 9.0843XXXXXXX instead of 9.@0843XXXXXXX?

Many thanks!

I noticed when you don’t include the ‘@’ symbol the Number Plan field is greyed out.

Just tested it on DNA and it is now showing:

Match Result = RouteThisPattern

Matched Pattern Information

Pattern = 9.0843XXXXXXX

an old version of the UK Dial plan that does not include new local rate 0843 numbers.

Don't forget to also add the new UK-WIDE 03XX XXX XXXX numbers too.

Additionally, 084X numbers cannot be described as "local rate" and 087X numbers cannot be described as "national rate" since they cost a lot more to call than a standard 01 or 02 geographic number. These are "special rate" or "business rate" numbers.
