NSS 322 ddns

Unanswered Question
Jul 29th, 2010

i'm trying to activate the ddns on the NSS. The service starts but it works with the wrong ip address. The service wants to update the local ip address of if 1 to the dyn-dns.com service.

How can I change this behaviour? There is a file ddns_update.conf, but I don't know the right syntax.

The ip address must be obtained via http.

Can someone help?

I have this problem too.

Hello jens,

What is the model of your router?

Also could you explain further your network topology so we can understand why you are experiencing the behavior? Also, I would not make changes to any .conf file because many of them are dynamically created and changing them could break the feature from the WebUI.

If possible please start a support case with Cisco Support at 1.866.606.1866 (US) so we can track your problem regardless if this is just a configuration problem or software problem.

Please keep us posted.

Hello Alejandro,

the PID is: NSS322 v01

my network topology is as follows:

NSS 322 -> Cisco ASA 5505 -> Outside (pppoe)

The ASA is configured for static PAT. There is also an extra VLAN for the clients.
