HELP!! WCS Root User Password (how do I set it?)

Unanswered Question

Hello All,

I have recently converted from our WLSE to WCS (Version 4.1). I also upgraded to the Linux 4.0 version. I am able to log into the Linux console with the root account without any problems. However, I'm not able to access the WCS Web GUI. During the conversion, the documentation says you will be prompted for operating system password (Linux), WCS Root User password (WCS GUI), and FTP password.

I was only prompted for the Linux password and can now not access the Web GUI. There was a similar post to this, but no answer was provided.

The /opt/bin/password.sh tool changes the Linux password, but doesn't help me with the Web GUI.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Thanks,
Bobby Grewal

I have this problem too.

From # /opt/WCS4.1/bin/passwd.sh

Passwd root

No luck with the Web GUI.
