Hi All,
We have an oppotunity to sell a multi-site solution (4 x UC500's) to a customer. The customer has a prerequisite that user presence will be provided with solution. My question is do we need to install a server at each site assuming VPN tunneling will be configured for all sites.
Thanks

One server can work for all sites.

Hi Steve,
The Unified CallConnector Server or the up and coming Smart CallConnector server, can monitor up to five different UC500's, as mentioned in the datasheet.
I have a cat and paste from the datasheet and the relevant information highlighted in red below.
One server should be able to provide presence server functionality for the the UCC or the up and coming SCC advanced clients.
You can see on my demo below that I have setup two locations Washington and Raleigh.
I could have in a multisite environment up to five sites monitored by my UCC server.
Depending on the number of clients, the datasheet recommends differing platforms types for running of the server software.
See extract below from the following document;
Table 4. Cisco Unified CallConnector Server and Mobility PC Requirements
Parameter | Description |
Hardware | • Small sites up to 25 users; dedicated 2.6 GHz or faster Pentium or compatible processor • Sites with 25 to 75 users; dedicated dual-core 3 GHz or faster • Larger sites with 75 to 250 users; dedicated quad-core 3 GHz or faster |
Memory | • Small sites up to 25 users; 2 GB system memory • Sites with 25 to 75 users; 4 GB system memory • Large sites with 75 to 250 users; 8 GB system memory recommended |

Great response Dave,
I managed to find the document not long after my post however I really appreciate your demo. Nothing like seeing it in a working environment.
Thanks Gents.

Gents,
Can this co-reside with other applications on a server.
