Hello,
We have had our 2 x ASA 5520's for a couple of years now. They work in active/passive failover mode and run IOS 8.2(2). I would like to upgrade to the latest version 8.3, but it seems I need my memory to be 2GB, is it possible to upgrade to this?
Thanks

yes. they can be upgraded by purchasing memory upgrade kits. Please refer the link below:

Thanks!
It is quite cheap to upgrade my 2 ASA's, is it easy to do? I guess I could upgrade the standby unit first then flip it over to be the active ASA then upgrade the other. I've never opened up an ASA before

The link for the same:

Please be aware that there is a change in code in 8.2 to 8.3, specially nat. You can go through the links:

Hi Andy,
The upgrade process is pretty straight forward. Here is a video that may help as it walks you through each step:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/hw/video/5500/asa_5510_mem_upgd.html
The video shows a 5510 but you should easily be able to apply it to your 5520s.
Hope that helps.
