hwic-9esw is not properly fitting in Cisco 2811

Hi,

Got 2811 router and HWIC-9ESW card.

When inserting in NM slot i.e. Big blank slot, it goes inside.

And is has screws on both ends horizontally whereas router has diagonally.

I think we have to mount this card on some chassi or assembly then fit into router.

pls suggest how to solve this issue?

Hello,

I think you were trying to install the module on a NM slot. Since you are using a HWIC, it should go to the HWIC slot. HWIC-9ESW is of 2 slot form factor. So, you need to remove the slot divider in the HWIC slots and then insert the module. Here is the procedure to remove the slot dividers.
