I have a cisco 1721 taking a dsl connection. The ios on the router is c1700-sy7-mz.124-13b.bin. The config on the interface is as follows:
interface ATM0
no ip address
no atm ilmi-keepalive
dsl operating-mode auto
!
interface ATM0.1 point-to-point
ip address 192.168.11.110 255.255.255.252
no snmp trap link-status
pvc 0/35
encapsulation aal5snap
!
It will bounce constantly and then stop for a couple of hours or even up to 24 hours then start again . The only error messages I get in the logs are:
Aug 1 12:48:12: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface ATM0, changed state to down
Aug 1 12:48:13: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface ATM0, changed state to down
Aug 1 12:48:26: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface ATM0, changed state to up
Aug 1 12:48:27: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface ATM0, changed state to up

I am seeing CRC errors but no input or output errors. The router has already been replaced once. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Hello Ikadlic,
post
show dsl interface atm0
so that we can see noise margin in both directions
Hope to help
