To connect IP Communicator from remote location, do we need 5520 with the following license:

ASA5500-SSL-100ASA 5500 SSL   VPN 100  Premium User License17,995.00
ASA-UC-100ASA 5500 UC Proxy 100   Session License17,995.00

Could please light me more detail about VPN solution with CUCM 8.0.

The UC Proxy allows an IP phone, softphone, etc. to connect to CUCM through the internet via the ASA without having remote VPN hardware. If you just want to connect via a VPN client or VPN hardware on the remote end, you do not need the UC Proxy license.
