Hi All,

If the master switch in one 3750G stack failed, which slave will take control? Does the slave inherit all the settings from master?

Thanks a lot.

Hello,

When the current master goes down, the slave switch will takeover the master

role and inherit all the settings from the master. Here is a document that

explains the master election. If all other parameters remain same, the

switch with lowest MAC ID will be selected as master.

Hope this helps.
