CSM SETUP

Hello,

This is my first time installing the CSM. I am reading the procedures and guidelines. As the procedure of course is to install the CSM software. After installing the CSM software, I think the next procedure is to add the devices to be managed..? I have a CISCO MARS devices and I found out tha it could be integrated to MARS. Is it good idea to integrated the CSM to MARS?. Adding devices to CSM needs snmp ro/rw? I already have snmp ro/rw configured in my routers and switches that is being used by my MARS, is it possible to reuse that?

Hello,

The next step after installation is to add the devices FW's/IOS routers/Switches etc. It is really a good thing to integrate MARS and CSM so you can correlate events on MARS with the config on the CSM. CSM by default connects to devices using "https" protocol so make sure https is enabled on devices. I have attached a PPT slide which tells you the other protocols you can use.
