AnyConnect Install fails at Upgrade

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out.  I'm trying to install AnyConnect 2.4.1012 on a WinXP x64 machine but it keeps failing when it appears to try and upgrade itself.  I haven't been able to find any usefull information in the logs.  I've tried both the local installer and the web installer with the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

what error message did you get when the installation was failed?

Can you check if the following register entry exists?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

If not, please add a new key and name it "RunOnce" and then try the installation again.

The error was 'Fatal error during installation'.  Not very usefull I'm afraid.


I do have a key for RunOnce already.
