Solved: HWIC certification

Does a HWIC (HWIC-D-9esw) have it's own operating system that needs to be Common Criteria Compliant when it is installed into a router, i.e. 2821. Or does it use the routers operating system and that is the only thing that needs to be certified. Thanks.

Hello,

HWIC-9ESW uses router's IOS to operate. It does not have its own operating system. It is just like any other cards on the router.
