Cisco 7911 Won't Boot

Hi folks,

I've got a Cisco 7911 that is refusing to boot. All that happens is that the red answer light flashes every 5 seconds. I've tried resetting it to factory defaults but it doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas?

Hi

It could be dead, could be trying to get default firmawre and failing (i.e. you have a problem with DHCP, option 150, or IP connectivity to the option 150 IP).

Best thing to do is monitor what it does with wireshark (post up a capture if you're not sure how to diagnose what it's doing).
