Hi,

Is there a VPN client software already installed on this machine? A Cisco software or another VPN client?

Might be a conflict with the OS, have you checked the Event Logs in Windows?

Federico.

Hi Frederico,

No, doesn`t have any vpn client even cisco client on this machine. I did not check the events log on Windows.

But some thing that occur is about DNE, because I had tried update DNE and I couldn`t do that. The installation have taken more than 30 minutes and keep going withou ending.

I will check the event log and as soon as possible I post here the news.

Thanks!

Hi Federico,

I look the Event Log and I found one error that don't say so much.

You mentioned a problem updating the DNE.

Have you tried this:

A. Check the networking Control Panel to ensure that the Deterministic NDIS Extender (DNE) was not installed. Also choose Microsoft > Current Version > Uninstall in order to check for the uninstall file. Remove the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5624C000-B109-11D4-9DB4-00E0290FCAC5} file, and retry the uninstallation.

From the VPN Client FAQ:

Federico.

Hi Frederico,

In fact, when I tried to remove it wasn't there. This key {5624C000-B109-11D4-9DB4-00E0290FCAC5} doesn't exist.

All the steps listed on http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2308/products_qanda_item09186a00801c2dbe.shtml were tested, but none of the less worked.

I've been in situations where the only solution is to reinstall windows on the PC.

Will that be something you can do on this computer?

If not, you might want to try to open a TAC case and see if they can guide you through any other recommendations...

Sorry not to be able to provide you with more help... (hopefully Cisco could provide you with another workaround)

Federico.

Hi Federico,

The user of this machine wants upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7 x64.

So now, we will upgrade

Thanks for the assistance and for the help!
