PPPOE configuration for Cisco 851and cisco 870 router

Hi Guys

I have two cisco 850 and 870 series routers i tryed alot but i am unable to configure PPOE on both of the routers there is no PPPOE enable command available I tryed VPDN s too but no luck any body have some clue

I already tried these steps but at step 4 where i enter the protocol command there is no PPPoE option just only l2tp option is there

Step 3	request-dialin Example: Router(config-vpdn)# request-dialin Router(config-vpdn-req-in)#	Creates a request-dialin VPDN subgroup, indicating the dialing direction, and initiates the tunnel.
Step 4	protocol {l2tp \| pppoe} Example: Router(config-vpdn-req-in)# protocol pppoe Router(config-vpdn-req-in)#	Specifies the type of sessions the VPDN subgroup can establish.
Step 5	exit Example: Router(config-vpdn-req-in)# exit Router(config-vpdn)#	Exits request-dialin VPDN group configuration.
Step 6	exit Example: Router(config-vpdn)# exit Router(config)#	Exits VPDN configuration, returning to global configuration mode.

Hello Krishan,

your router is running 12.4(15)T you don't need anymore vpdn to enable pppoe client on it

Hi

Any body can post the the running configuration on 12.4(15)T IOS with PPPoE configuration complete

I will be rely thankful i don't have much experience of CLI i normally configure through SDM but through SDM i am getting this PPPoE enable error. but if i have the running configuration than i can program, because i have to drive 3hour for that site and i don't want to stuck there Please Please
