Cisco 3560 interfacce inpute error

when i connect a finger print not Cisco to a switch 3560 the interface negotiate to half duplex and speed 10 however the ping get flaping and the associated interface gets input error packets counter increased  also when connecting the same unit to c 2960 , its gets normal ping stable.

Kindly did c3560 have a problem with the half duplex or speed 10 or need more configurations than or if there a debug commands can used.

Hello,

It seems like the non-Cisco device and 3560 hardware are not compatible with

each other. When the Ethernet drivers of the switch and the finger print

device cannot negotiate physical layer parameters, they set the speed/duplex

to 10/half and report errors. If you need to use the finger print device

with 3560, please use a dumb hub/switch between the 3560 and the finger

print device

3560 -- dumb hub/switch -- finger print device.
