Hi All,
This is regarding the GLBP and till now I know that this is Cisco prop. protocol but when I read the CCNP TSHOOT book by Kevin Wallace it says GLBP is not Cisco prop. protocol on page 122.
can anyone clarify on this !!!

Yes, GLBP is a Cisco proprietary protocol.
Introduced in the Cisco IOS Release 12.2(15), Gateway Load Balancing Protocol (GLBP) is supported by Cisco 1700, 2600, 3620, 3631, 3640, 3660, 3725, 3745, 7100, 7200, 7400, 7500 series. GLBP is a Cisco proprietary protocol that attempts to overcome the limitations of existing redundant router protocols (HSRP, VRRP, …) by adding basic load balancing functionality.

Hi,
Yes, that's what I have read till this time but I was just asking with reference to that book. And that book is cisco official certificatin guide by cisco press for TSHOOT exam.
