Is there a way to add a second 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet port to a Cisco 2620? All I am finding is 10Mb or non compatible.

Hi Jack,

You can get 10/100 network module for it.

NM-1FE-TX is 10/100.

Here is the data sheet:

Thanks. I will try it out.

I'm pretty sure, and the link suggested confirms that the network modules for fast Ethernet are not supported on the 2600 platform only on 3600 platform.

I had already ordered the NM-1FE-TX  before I saw the comments saying it would not work. I have it installed and all looks good.

They were not alone. There were many other sites saying it would not work either, but it is woking for me.

Thanks for your help.

I've looked for a FE interface for the 2620 before, and I'm pretty sure it is a brick wall

How in the world can it work for some people with a 2620 (not xm) but NOT for others?? I also don't understand why, if the built-in card is FE, why would the additional FE (NM-1FE-TX) NOT work?? For those of you who got it to work - do you have the XM models or the 2RU? Is there a partocular IOS that will allow the 1FEs to work with a 2620? Perhaps that is the difference. I have just the plain-jane 1RU 2620 with one FE port, one console, one aux and 2 WAN slots. I don't want to waste my money and end up with an expensive paperweight, and I don't want to settle for standard Eth if I can have FE.

Thanks all!! Can we just ask Cisco???
