upgrading cisco 2950 ios

I already install new ios on my 2950 switch but when i boot switch from new ios it gives a error message permission denied and boots from

old ios what can i do now to resolves this issue

Can you post the bootup process and the results of the command "dir" please?

Your boot statement is probaly set incorrectly.

Try the following

config t

no boot system

boot system flash:newios.bin

exit

wr mem

reload

Its better to delete Old_IOS file then switch will automatically boot from New_IOS.
