LocalDirector and Proxies

Unanswered Question
Aug 10th, 2010

Hello

I'm in the proccess of researching the effects of placing a proxy (client side) into our datacenter.

We have a Cisco LocalDirector that's balancing HTTP and SSL traffic to the real servers.

I am using SSL and Generic Sticky. (not using client assigned), using leastconnections ,roundrobin

algorithim and it's in directed mode.

My questions are:

What does the LD look at in order to balance the traffic when using Leastconnections in directed mode? Src IP, tcp syn, ?

Does it re-write the the src-IP too?

Will Generic Sticky be impacted by the proxy?

Thank you for time

Hank

I have this problem too.
