Hi @all,

I have a ASA5510 in my network.

My show Memory is

Free memory:        25207944 bytes ( 9%)
Used memory:       243227512 bytes (91%)
-------------     ----------------
Total memory:      268435456 bytes (100%)

This is fairly the wohle day.

CPU Utilizatiob is between 5% and 10%

How much memory is recommended by cisco?

Is the ASA5510 working on maximum?

Hello,

Did the memory utilization increase off-late or has it been constantly

staying at 91%? Also, do you have any WebVPN settings configured on the

firewall? Please post the output of "show memory detail" in here so we could

try to see any process that is hogging memory.

Regards,

NT

It has been constantlystaying at 91%

Yes there are WebVPN Groups (9)

Hello,

If it is constantly staying at 91%, then I think the features you have

enabled are consuming most of your memory. WebVPN does require more memory

to hold user profile information. I would suggest you to upgrade the memory

on the firewall (you can consider upgrading to 1 GB).

Hope this helps.

Regards,

NT

Thank you for answering/help!

It seemed that it was an impact from another issue with that ASA-Cluster.

Now all is fine and works well.

You are right that the features of the ASA needs much of the memory.
