2960G Clustering Configuration

Here's my scenario:

I have three WS-C2960G-24TC-L which need to be "connected to each other" and located in the same rack.

Every Switch has one GLC-LH-SM Transceiver on one of its SFP ports.

What is the best way to cluster them? (See attached image).

Will I be able to manage, operate and configure them as a single Switch?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Raul,

Yes, you can mange the cluster using a single IP address

From the config guide:

A switch cluster is a set of up to 16 connected, cluster-capable Catalyst switches that are managed as a single entity. The switches in the cluster use the switch clustering technology so that you can configure and troubleshoot a group of different Catalyst desktop switch platforms through a single IP address.

Also for the best way of clustering you switches together refer to this document

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2960/software/release/12.2_25_fx/configuration/guide/swclus.html

I know this question is supposed to be already answered but:

Does this means the two switches will be working exactly as one?

I don't mean just managing them with a single IP address. I need to be absolutely sure.

Thanks.
