Has anyone seen this log message before
when attempting to configure a 2-port layer 3 EtherChannel on the same line card (WS-X6148-GE-TX), the following syslog messages were generated.
Aug 12 16:15:58.497 EST: %PM-SPSTBY-3-INTERNALERROR: Port Manager Internal Software Error (is_unallocated: ../const/native-sp/pm_sp_vlan.c: 952: pm_get_standby_vlan)

Aug 12 16:15:58.497 EST: %PM-SPSTBY-4-INT_VLAN_NOTAVAIL: Failed to allocate internal VLAN in Port Manager
The etherchannel is created ok and seems fully functional, is the log entry anything to worry about.

Traceback can only lead to one of two things: An IOS bug or a hardware failure. I'm suspecting you have a cosmetic bug.

I will explore the bug option further
