Cisco 877w - DHCP & VLAN mac address

Unanswered Question

Just trying to set up a cisco 877w to work on a cable connection ( with separate cable modem).. As its an ADSL router as a work around i have created a WAN vlan interface with the IP address DHCP command.

I believe my ISP may only allow a single mac address (i think the previously connected belkin router) .  Knowing this i used the mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx command on the fa interface. This however still resulted in no ip address being assigned.

I think the problem may be to do with the fact the VLAN interface has a different mac-address- and so this is being used instead of the fa mac.

Any assistance much appreciated

I have this problem too.
