I have a serial interface card (s0/1/0.16) which we curretly use for our T-1 connection.  I have second T-1 line coming and was wondering if I could use the "controller T1 0/2/0' interface for the same purpose as the serial interface?  (see config below)

controller T1 0/2/0
shutdown
framing esf
linecode b8zs
!
controller T1 0/2/1
framing esf
linecode b8zs
!
ip ssh authentication-retries 2
!
!!!
!
interface Serial0/1/0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
no ip route-cache cef
frame-relay lmi-type ansi
!
interface Serial0/1/0.16 point-to-point
ip address XXXXXX

no ip redirects
no ip unreachables
no ip proxy-arp
snmp trap link-status
frame-relay interface-dlci 16 IETF

Thanks

Alfred

You sure can! Depending on the T-1, you may not have to use a sub-interface. If you let us know your requirements, we can help with the config.

The reason we are getting an additional T-1 line is to seperate our public from our staff traffic.  So, the original T-1 will have traffic will have it's own subnet of 192.168.69.0/25 and the additioanl T-1 will have a subnet of 192.168.129/25.

I have attached the config of both routers and a diagram.  Please let me know if you need any other info.

Thanks

Alfred
