Log reader for Call manager NOT VLT

I lost my HD this past week.  I had this utility that cisco tac turned me on to a couple years back.  It assisted in reading call manager logs and was very usefull.  It is NOT the VLT tool.  It was something else.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Aaron,

Not sure if you know or not but hoping you can assist me further.

I'm researching call disconnects for a end user on an IP phone.  I am trying to determine if the user is hanging up on the caller or the PSTN is disconnecting.

Can you give me suggestions on what to look for in the CCM or SDL logs.  I have pulled them and the Call Ref ID.  Using VLT I see the off hook message and the on hook message.

I did notice on a call disconnected from the PSTN side I saw a CloseReceiveChannel message before the OnHook message but not sure if that is a good indicator.

Any advice?

Hi

Simplest way to determine is to start with decoding the Q931 signalling in triplecombo. Dump the CCM/SDI logs into it, find your call, and look for the first terminate/disconnect message. If it is listed as TX (transmit) then the internal side hung up, or the system had a wobble and dropped the call. If the terminate/disconnect is instigated by an RX packet then the outside party disconnected.

Regards

Aaron
