Hi Friends. I have a Cisco1701 Router and I need to install a VWIC-1MFT-G.703 Card in replacement of BRI Card where's WIC-1ADSL will remain in its place. I am trying with diferent IOS but still couldn't. In fact i have to get an ADSL Connection and G.703 E1 Link both on same router.
Can any one help?

Hello,
It seems like 1701 does not support Multiflex VWIC cards.

You might have to go to slightly higher platform (At least 1721 which is
modular) to pick and choose the cards on the router.

You need a minimum of a 1841 to have E1 and ADSL in the same router.

Thank You NT
Just one more thing i need to ask that if Cisco1721 with 64D/16F 12.4 IOS can support both VWIC-1MFT-G.703 & WIC-1DSL at the same time?

Hello,
Seems like both cards are supported in 1721.

Make sure that you are running an ADSL image to support the WIC-1DSL card.

Do not use such an old router.
You will have nothing but trouble.
