I tried Pagp, Lacp and the only thing I didnt try was "mode on". I am not attempting VSS but I was only attempting to create a simple portchannel trunk between the distribution pair. The portchannel didnt want to bundle with no matter what I did on the config and I am perplexed what I am forgetting or do not know. Please help.

Hi,

According to Cisco 6500 business unit you can not create Portchanned on the 10Gig port on Sup-720-VS. Now, I have it configured with no problem working with PAGP which was a surprise to 6500 business unit people but I am running 12.2(33)SXI not SXH. I would recommend an upgrade to SXI and try again. It should work.

BTW, The latest SXI release is 12.2(33)SXI4a
