We are evaluating using the SPA525G phone with a hosted VOIP
providor and in trying out the wi-fi capability of the 525; the phone would disconnect from the access point after each call and wi-fi had to manually be re-enabled for it to reconnect.
This occurred with two different brands of wireless routers, Westell from Frontier/Verizon and Linksys WRT54G.
Running off the wired connection the phone worked correctly.

Dear Sir;
Suggest you upgrade to latest firmware available in cisco.com and retest. Also suggest you save the SSID of the AP into the profile section of the SPA525G. We have tested the phone against multiple APs without issues. Make also sure that area is not full of interference. If the phone continues with issues after the upgrade, one possibility is to change the wireless channel used to select another one with lower interference.
Regards
Alberto

Turned out to be simpler then that.
The hosted VOIP provider was over-writing the WiFi enabled value when the phone would reload its configuration from the TFTP server, once they updated the phones profile to enable WiFI it started working as expected.
Interestingly enough simply unplugging the eithernet connection and the phone automatically switches over to WiFi.
