Cisco 6500 series switch IOS upgrade

Hi,

Can anyone discuss or forward the procedure for upgrading the IOS for Cisco 6500 series switch.

Hi,

What is the current OS running on your 65K switch.is that CatOS or IOS ??

Can you paste the output of the below command from your 65K switch

#sh version

Based on the output sh version, i can suggest the procedure to upgrade the IOS

1.  Copy the IOS into the sup-bootflash:.  You can either use a TFTP server or copy the IOS from your PC to a CF and from the CF to the sup-bootflash:.

2.  Change the boot variable parameter.

3.  Save the config and reload.
