hi,
I have a Cisco 877 router as an internet gateway.
I have a very low link to the internet (about 1Mbps in down) and I would like to make QoS on my 877 to prioritize my VPNs (UDP 500, ESP... or if it is more easy in entering several public ip) in telling by example :
VPNs => 80% bandwidth
Internet => 20% bandwidth
I tried to find solution on net but I'm a bit lost so if someone could help me, that would be great.
thx
Nicolas

Congestion happens in the ISP network, on which you have no control.
Consequently, you cannot do anything about.
Before someone jumps and say: "Try shaping LAn interface instead", that is not a good idea either, as the only effect you achive, is to limit Internet performances at all times, even when VPN is not needed.

hi
thanks for your answer
I just forgot to mention that my VPN is done by an other router behind my gateway, same for internet trafic... so all is not mixed
so my 877 is really only my internet gateway
indeed, of VPN is not used, bandwidth should be used for internet access
in resume, I would like to get by exemple in download :
VPN trafic : 800 Kbps if needed
Other (internet) : 200 Kbps
but if VPN uses only 500, well "Other (internet)" could increase
regards
Nicolas
