basic routing on 1712

Unanswered Question

Hi there,

I was hoping someone who knows at bit more about cisco routers could help me out with this....

I've been asked to look at linking up 3 separate networks (i.e. 3 separate subnets). I was hoping to use the companies cisco 1712 to do this.

The 1712 has just 1 network port and a 4 port switch.

I was hoping to create an IP address for each subnet i.e.

10.10.10.1

10.10.20.1

10.10.30.1

And have the router pass traffic through.

The company does not use VLANS and has no cisco switches.

I hope this makes sense! Can anyone tell me if this is possible and give me some pointers how to go about this?

TIA,

Al

I have this problem too.
