Hi all,

When I tried to delete the file from cisco 2811 router. It shows the following error messages.

%Error deleting flash:/pcm.dat (File in use in an incompatible mode)

Tell me how I delete the file from router.

Regards

Ali Raza

Try disabling the captures and then delete the pcm.dat file

It should be something like -

no voice hpi capture
no voice hpi capture destination flash:pcm.dat

Extact flash (nothing bad will happne), inser in PC, delete file, put back in router.

Hi,

Is there any solution for this? Because the router is working in live enviornment and it is very difficult to take a down time for this.

LHR-LDA-JT-DC-RTR#delete flas
LHR-LDA-JT-DC-RTR#delete flash:pcm.dat
Delete filename [pcm.dat]?
Delete flash:/pcm.dat? [confirm]
%Error deleting flash:/pcm.dat (File in use in an incompatible mode)
LHR-LDA-JT-DC-RTR#

Solution given above, 0 down time.

Hi,

How could we remove the flash when server in running condition. I also don't have a slot in PC to insert a flash. Please tell some other suggestion to resolve this issue.

Regards

Ali Raza

Again for the hird time, you can remove the flash with the router running without any problem.

Then you get a $10 usb card reader to delete the file.
