C6500 VSS, ACE and RHI

Hi,

I am planning VSS installation with one ACE and FWSM per physical chassis. As FWSM is "behind" the ACE I have

no problem using RHI, but I was wondering is RHI supported in VSS scenario or not?

Hi Pavel,

There is no interoperability between FWSM Release 4.0 RHI feature and VSS integration

Now, this is based on older IOS version of SXI and don't know if it is integrated in SXI4a.

Hello Reza,

thank you for your reply, but I must admit that I am a little bit confused (this is because I don't have hands on experience with ACE and RHI), but I am wondering, why should I care if FWSM does not support RHI, as in my case ACE would have a "direct connection" to MSFC, so FWSM is behind ACE, and is not problem for RHI to work, or I am terribly wrong?

Are you running the FWSM in transparent mode or a routed mode?
