Dear Experts,

we have 4 byte ebgp ASN ( 123456)

we have four own ip pools as per given bellow (e.g)

110.231.70.0/22
30.110.252.0/22
220.220.129.0/25
220.220.132.0/24

at present all above pools are working at our HQ with same ASN (123456)

now we are start internet service at different location with same ASN (123456)

i need to use 128 ips ( 30.110.252.0/25) for 2nd location.

Should i remove of this network  pool from HQ Router and add to 2nd location router with Same ASN (123456) ??

i am confuse about that.

>>> can i use same ASN in multiple location ???

>>> can i use my own ip pools after remove from my HQ router which is use at present in BGP network and then add in my 2nd location  ( 30.110.252.0/25) ??

Please help me

Thanks in ADV,

Vaib...

Hi Vaibav,

If you have internet service with same provider for both HQ and other location then you can advertise just /25 from you new location without any change in HQ. It's up to provider to advertise you segment.

Hello Vaibhav,

no, you don't need to remove the /22 prefix in order to be able to advertise /25 component.

Because most specific route is used first.

All you need as noted by Dinesh is to make agreements with the two providers in order to have them to accept the /25 prefix.

The /25 prefix will live only within ISP1 AS and ISP2 AS not in the big internet but this should be enough to achieve the desired effect.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
