How do I provide Dial tone on E&M T1

I have 1 third party IVR connected to an H323 gateway via a Digital T1 E and M winkstart port.  I can make calls to the IVR but when a person tries to zero out, it tries to transfer call but it is not working.

The vendors says that I need to provide dial tone. How would I do that?

This feature worked when connected to a MGCP gateway in a 4.2(3) environment.

I have this problem too.

To my knowledge, no dial-tone is ever provided in E&M.

Beside, if the call is completed already, no dialtone should be ever further provided.

Likely there is another cause than what the IVR vendor is claiming.

You are correct.

Here is what we have found.

The IVR is dialing the five extension ie 70002. However, the gateway is receiving the 7 and then trying to match dial peers on the seven. It is like it is not waiting for the other digits

Have any ideas.

Are you using MGCP or H.323?

In either case, one should look at your dialplan configuration.

Here is what we found. 

The VRU was performing a hook flash and then sending DTMF digits.  So, we had to install a TCL script on the gateway in order for the blind transfer to work.

hookflash from the IVR, check the duration.  The defa

ult hookflash timer is 150-1000 msec, if it's shorter it will be ignored, if

longer it will be considered a disconnect
