ECC Variables

We have hit our limit with ECC variables, which of course is not hard if you implemented CVP 3.x (from way back), have an outbound dialer, email manager, and other channels.

My question!

If you go over the ECC limit (which the configuration program will let you - but gives a warning)... what actually happens?

I haven't completed testing yet, but it looks like the variables I set get written, just the other variables have no data in them. I am wondering if it is a floating limit, whereby you can have 6000 bytes configured as variables, but if you only write 500 bytes of data, they will still be written out.

Although the Config Tool complains, not all call variables will be used by a given call. EIM call variables are obviously not used by a voice call, so the Config Tool warning based on max space used is jumping the gun, and not doing a deep analysis.

You need to consider each type of call separately and add up the space used (applying the correct formula).
