Music On Hold in SRST

Kumar Vishal

Level 1

We have a remote location with 1 gateway running MGCP and 1 T1 PRI.
We were able to perform the SRST test without any issues.

However, MoH did not play during SRST.
We have the file uploaded in flash and it is not corrupt as we can playback the same file in a media player.

The following are the commansd on the router -

Charlotte2901#sh run | sec call-manager-fallback
call-manager-fallback
max-conferences 8 gain -6
transfer-system full-consult
ip source-address 10.228.158.1 port 2000
max-ephones 30
max-dn 100
dialplan-pattern 1 44.. extension-length 4
dialplan-pattern 2 13.. extension-length 4
dialplan-pattern 3 09.. extension-length 4
transfer-pattern .T
access-code pri 11 direct-inward-dial
voicemail 91XXXXXXXXXX
moh track1.wav

Please let me know if anything is missing.

Thanks
Kumar

Hi

Normally you would set:

moh flash:music_on_hold.au

But I suspect just the name should work without the flash: prefix.

I would test again, but use the Cisco-supplied music_on_hold.au from any CME download. If it works with that, then your file is the problem.

It's not a matter of just playing it back via Media Player to verify it - it has to be in a specific format: 8khz 8-bit mono u-Law. You can use Windows Sound Recorder to convert it to this format, or any decent audio editor.

Also the MoH just plays out to the PSTN...

Regards

Aaron

The SRST testing is scheduled for next friday.

I will try to use *.au file instead of *.wav file to see if makes a difference.
