Hi

In a properly configured 2-server system, both the Pub and Sub will be running all the required services. If the sub fails, the phones and gateways re-register to the publisher and service is restored.

thanks aaron,

but after registering the phones with publisher so is any effect or is there any missing service we can not see.....

or if i talk about the reverse Scnerio Publiser is down then , is there any service which we can not see on IP Phone.

regards

Gaurav

In a two server environment, so  long as you have your CM groups configured with the subscriber first and  publisher second, should the subscriber go down for whatever reason,  phones and other devices should register with the Publisher.

There is a section in the UC SRND which discusses this in detail:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/7x/callpros.html#wpmkr1043722

...and

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/7x/callpros.html#wpmkr1043746

Hope this helps!
