we are under the understanding that
we have to upgrade our Attendant Console software if we upgrade our UCM to version 8. Do people have any idea as to which versions of AC there are out there and recommend a good one.
currently we are using the Cisco Attendant Console version 6.x. we have delayed our UCM upgrade to 8.0 for the time being.

Not so much an upgrade, but rather a replacement.

The one that reads CUCM AC is the legacy one which is replaced, so skip that one.

Cisco Attendant Console, AKA built-in Attendant Console is no longer provided with CUCM 8.0. CUCM 7.1 is the last version where this will be included. You will need to move to one of the Unified Attendant Consoles if migrating to 8.0. Below you will find the EoS/EoL document for AC with CUCM.
