Hi2All

I am wondering if two SFP ports on my Cisco 2960 can be combined as one pipe connection to my backbone switch 4506

This is redundancy and additional 1GB pipe, in total my backbone connection from this switch would be 2GB

cheers

Anthony

Hello,

You can certainly do that. You need to configure EtherChannel between the

devices.

Hope this helps.

Hi2All,

Thanks for answering.

Are these config ok for etherchannel

On 2960 Switch & Backbone_switch 4506 I configure these.

interface range giga 0/1 - 2

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport mode trunk

channel-group 1 mode active

Any precautions do I need for Ethernchannel during configuration.

cheers

Hello,

That configuration looks good. As long as both links are active, you should

not have any problem.
