WAP2000s are causing network loop!

Unanswered Question

I have 3 WAP2000 AP all configured with the same SSID and passpharse. All are setup as APs and each one are on different channels, i.e. 1, 6 and 11.

I had an issue where my Dell server was sending out multicast and I verified that one of the APs were pickup up these multicast wirelessly and forwarind it back on the LAN causing a network loop degrading the LAN performance greatly.  I verified this by connecting my laptop to the WAP with a crossover cable and and a packetsniffer.

To temporarly resolve the issue, I changed the SSID of the WAP which seemed to be causing the loop to something different then the other two.

Way's this happening!?  I tried reseting the WAPs with no luck. Everything else in the configuration is default.

Any insight on this would be great!

Thanks in advanced!

I have this problem too.

Any ideas?  I really need to make sure that this doesn't happen again.  If I change the SSID back to the same as the other two the issue will start again...

Thank you.
